Professional Look From Your Digital Photos Knowledge Base

What should I look for in a new digital camera? Okay, i really need help because i'm going to buy a new digital camera for christmas and i really need to find a good one. I had other digital cameras in the past from kodak, but the camera turned out. I'm looking at more cameras from Nikon cool pix, because i heard that they're a good brand. One thing i use the camera for is i like to use them for concerts. Taping them and trying to zoom in as close as i could . Also for taking pictures of them while the bands are moving around. I just like trying to take professional looking photos of people too. So does it mean the higher the pixels are, the better the picture is going to look? And i want the pictures looking more natural. So is it possible that i could get a digital camera with both of those features under $200? So please give me your opinions or ideas. Thank you :]
Is there a way to photo shop a regular picture to look professional? My 2 year old son doesn't do well with professional photographers, so I ended taking some pictures of him in front of a tarp, but they came out looking like your average "kodak" picture. So I was wondering is there a way to photo shop a picture taken from a digital camera into a professional looking picture? Here is one of the pictures I took, to give you guys a better understanding of what I am talking about. One picture I am trying to photo shop http://www.flickr.com/photos/39571234@N06/4418506955/ How I want it to look http://child-photography.richardsphotography.com/images/cachild8.jpg (if you can see how the background is soft and faded, but the picture of the boy is soft yet sharp...How can I achieve that look by photo shopping?
What is the best (general) digital camera that takes nearly 'professional' type looking photo's? When i'm out in a club there are always people walking around taking your photo and there are these people walking around from munky.com.au and i think they use the new sony cybershot T series digital camera and those pictures look pretty good. I currently have an olympus Tough 770 SW but i dont like the pictures it takes, i only like it coz it goes underwater. thanx to 'fhotoace' but i meant how the photo doesnt look real, it kind of makes everyone look better... i dont really know how to explain it.
Are professional makeovers worth the money...or can you do a good job with your own digital camera ? I was to go to a professional makeover shoot tomorrow, for all sorts of reasons this may not now happen but the reason for going was because I wanted a nice set of photos to cherish. I have a digital camera and halogen lighting and so I wonder if I was good at taking photos how would they look...I always seem to have the wrong angle or mis time when the time goes off. The tripod is hard to position against where I think I am going to stand...the list goes on. So can I do as good myself, or am I kidding myself...should I just go to the shoot and let them take the hassle away from me? At £300, it is expensive...thanks

I have heard of sites that pay for your photos when someone downloads it or something, anyone know of any good UK one's? I found one from google but I had to be over 18, I'm only 16... love it how you are all so critising. no it's not just my family that have said my photos look good, i have had media tell me so at my school prom, he wanted me to upload them for him! i'm not uploading them on here for you all to criticise and say, ''oh that should be brighter'' because i don't need your opinions it's my work not yours. love it how you are all so critising. no it's not just my family that have said my photos look good, i have had media tell me so at my school prom, he wanted me to upload them for him! i'm not uploading them on here for you all to criticise and say, ''oh that should be brighter'' because i don't need your opinions it's my work not yours.

Beginner to Professional Photography, Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 or CANON EOS Elan? I'm going to try to pursue the career of professional photography but the thing is.. I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE with cameras and about it, except the simple click & flash= Snapshot. I been trying to look up what professional cameras are good for beginners and two has popped up quite a lot.. the Panasonic DMC-GF1 and this specific Canon camera.. the CANON EOS Elan 7E 35mm Autofocus Camera. I know that the Canon one is extreme for me because I've never used film but digital(& that's what I'm looking for), the somewhat difficult multiple buttons or controls to chose from, and the one that bothers me most is the PRICE. I have seen the photos that this camera has taken from all focus and it's great and I can picture what I can do with it. Said from a professional photographer, she recommended it for beginners to start off and good for people looking for simple auto focus for professional quality pictures. Is it worth all that money though? From buying this even though it's expensive, does it and will it have all I need(ex. I won't have to go again the the electronic store and search for 4 diffferent lenses)? As for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1, I like how light-weight it is and how clear the pictures can be as how cheaper it is than the other. But the pictures though there wasn't a lot of samples that I can look at all it's ranges of focus, it seems just a teeny bit better than a normal digital. Also it seems for this one, I probably have to go buy different lenses for focus and stuff like that.. but I'm not sure which and if I can afford it. So what I guess I'm asking is to the professionals here.. which is better for me? & if I were to buy any of them, would I have to buy extra stuff to go with it? Probably this would help too for my questions... Type of photos, I would like to be able to do with it or have on it are.. -auto-focus -portraits -landscape -don't know what it's called but, it's where I can make a certain part focused and the background somewhat blurred. -quick snapshots -professional clear quality -clear shots of night life -action or motion pictures (where someone can just jump in the air or running and I can get that snapshot without blurr.. I think this may go under quick snapshots..but you guys know what I mean) -under $2000 -has flash light that I can insert or already has it. If you guys know any other good cameras for me, please recommend=) thanks for your help
Who else thinks this creepy myspace message is really from some pervert old man? Lol, Who has time to make up a message like this.? Cause I'm pretty sure It's not for real, what do you think? Hello Kara, my name is Thomas Gihon and I am a photographer based in NYC. I have been looking through Myspace profiles (as that is where I have been lucky enough to find 2 of my models) and I saw your profile and I LOVE your look. Sexy body and great face!! My company is looking for lingerie, fashion and swimsuit models for a catalog shoot for the spring 2010 season. (Ages 18 to 28 only please) All work is to be completed by the end of November and I am looking to make an addition to our team of 10 models. Travel arrangements are paid by our sponsors. This opportunity is selective and pays quite well. (Between $1000.00 and $1600.00 per shoot.) I am open to girls with no experience as 4 of my models had none. Through my sponsors I even pay for the submission pics you send for consideration. Just write me and I would be happy to provide details. Please forward pictures to TG2ModelMgmt@yahoo.com Please include a headshot and multiple shots to accentuate your body (preferably lingerie or swimsuit material) I can provide contacts to girls who have submitted pics and were paid and would be happy to talk to you. As well as a full privacy policy, the pictures are for evaluation only, remain your property, and are NEVER seen by anyone but me under strict penalty of law. I have had far too many problems with "professional" pictures (many were photo shopped or gave an unrealistic look at a model's body) so I am ONLY accepting non-professional pics (i.e. self pics or any pics with a digital camera). A TERRIFIC opportunity for new girls with no access to a pro! The picture submission is a very easy way to make some quick cash, and then if selected to do more work it is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door. I would be happy to answer ANY questions you have. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thomas
What's a good printing service in the UK? I am trying to find a place where to print a few digital photos (high street or online... it doesn't matter). I decided to do a first test and I printed a couple of pictures at Boots. The results were appalling. The prints had nothing to do with the originals. They were over-saturated, they had an evident red cast (believe me... if I can spot a colour cast, it means it's very bad) and they were extremely dark. The printer couldn't be that bad. They must have run some evil enhancement algorithm that believed to be better than me at fixing a photograph. As far as I can see around, most printing services modify your pictures before printing them and there is no way to stop this thing from happening. Do you know of any company that lets you print your photos at a decent price and lets you choose whether you want your pics to be enhanced or not? I'm not looking for ultra-professional labs that charge me £2 per pictures and I am not even searching for an outstanding quality level. I just want an average lab that does not destroy my pictures before sending them to the printer.
What digital camera should I purchase? A little about myself: I'm a college student, I'm not looking for something that is going to take professional photographs, I'll mostly be using the camera for travel, parties, and friends, but I have been known to take an attempt at 'photography'. I've also been looking for one for several days and keep going back and forth between many cameras! Help me! Important factors for me: Less than $220. Ultra-compact, MUST comfortably fit in a pocket--the smaller the better Video capable, I don't care about hd, or any other gizmos, just using the videos for facebook/youtube Excellent photo quality, I'm downgrading from a Nikon D40 (simply don't need an SLR at the moment)--while I know that photo quality is impossible to compare to a d40, I'm looking for something that isn't laughable as I WILL be printing many of these photos to give to friends and family. I would strongly prefer it use SD cards, but it isn't a dealbreaker for me. Amaze me with your deal-finding, digital camera knowledge and skills!

Nikon D300 vs Canon 5D or Nikon D300 vs Canon 450D? I'm a photographer trying to figure out what Digital SLR to be used for advertising and workshop with perfect speed. I'm looking at 3 different cameras. Which, in your opinion, makes a better DSLR: Nikon or Canon. Please state reasons, I'm really in love with Nikon but I've been hearing so much about Canon. I've make alots of research in the internet sometimes you find in some specification Nikon faster than Canon. Nikon D300 vs. Canon 5D or Canon 450D. (1) Canon 450D (2) Canon 5D (3) Nikon D300. Which One is the Best to keep it for 5 years not more !. What's the different between Nikon and Canon. Which best lenses to be used for all shot. How do you defined a professional photograher, How Can I earned money from my photos. What's the problem each camera can't do for shot. Only a background photograher can answer these question! SLR Camera / Editing Software? Alright. I am starting to really get into photography. I have an olympus right now. It is 12 megapixels and has 10X optical zoom, 5X digital zoom. I really love it and don't get me wrong - it takes amazing pictures for how compact it is. I am wanting to make it my "purse camera". The new one I want to find is something I can use more as a starter camera for serious photography. This is where I need your help. I am hoping to find something that is not too expensive and is user friendly. How does the zoom work on SLR cameras? Is it manual or automatic or is it just preferance? Can you get them with the digital screen or do they all use the viewfinder? I want something that has at least 14 megapixels, and great zoom. I found one that I like, opinions please? What are all the different lenses for? Are there ones I should really have other than the one that comes with it? Which photo editing software do you use? I want something that won't take forever to figure out. Can I do this ( http://farm1.static.flickr.com/21/31006970_618fd1abd4.jpg ) with edting software? Also if I take a great picture but hate something in it, could I change it? For example, I have some really great sunset pictures, but there are powerlines and birds ruining what could have been a great picture - could I somehow get rid of these? Or touch up blemishes on someones face? Finally, what should I look for in a camera so its a step up from the one I have and an all around good camera? What do you look for in your camera, and do you prefer a certain brand? Here is a link to the camera I think I want next: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Canon+-+EOS+… Here is a link to the camera I have now: http://www.google.com/products/catalog?h… Thank you in advance for any information you can give me. I don't know too much about the more professional side of photography, but want to know more before I shell out a ton of money and later find out I could have gotten something better for less money.

What do I need in order to make professional looking digital photos? I am very interested in digital photography. I have a Canon Digital Rebel XTi with the kit lense. I want to be able to take professional looking photos and be able to do professional looking effects in post-processing. I do not intend to actually do photograpy as a career, but want to take pictures that look professional (especially of my children). What do I need in order to do this? I am looking to make a "wish list". Any suggestions on software, lenses (I like to do a lot of close up portraits, but want to be able to do other things as well), filters, etc? Thanks!
Where can I find backgrounds (online) to use w/my digital photos, so they look kinda "professional"? I was wanting to find some photo backgrounds, that I use behind photos I've taken w/my digital camera. I've been taking photos, trying to make them look kind of professional (just for family & friends). Some are like modeling type pictures & some are just cute photos of kids. I have Photoshop & Microsoft Publisher to work with. I'd just like to find out if there is a program that has different backgrounds that I could use (like nature backdrops, the beach, silk fabric backdrops, things like that).
how do i take professional photos with a digital camera? I'm trying to make professional looking photos but I'm having problems. Are there tips and tricks to do it? Thanks for answering my question.
What kind of digital picture program will create "professional" looking photos? I bought an expensive SLR digital camera and I would like to find an easy to use program to make my pictures look professional. I want a program that allows for basic editing along with features like: Boarders around pictures (fuzzy boarders). Black and white, antique finishes, etc. Nothing too fancy, but something that offers a more professional look for a reasonable price. Any ideas? Can I download one or which one should I buy?
What is the best digital photo editing program to create professional style photos? I want to make my photos look like the professionals. What program is the best for making that happen? and... how would your rate Roxio PhotoSuite? I currently have Roxio PhotoSuite and I don't like it at all.
For taking high resolution digital photos of cityscapes, that look professional, what is the best lens to use? I'm going to buy a quality SLR digi cam for taking high-res photos of cityscapes, buildings, and places I visit while traveling extensively (in the near future), and wondering what type of lens I should add to the basic one the cam will likely come with for those professional-looking shots photographers can get. A wide angle? A super zoom? For when I'm, say, trying to capture a historic attraction in an artistic and intriguing way, really using basic camera settings like aperture setting, shutter speed, etc.)? Can anyone tell me?
professional looking photos with plain digital camera? I'm going to San Francisco in two weeks and I'm really excited about taking pictures, plus I'm taking the scenic drive. I have a Kodak M863: http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=12368&cm_re=page-13557-_-product-_-M863&pq-locale=en_US 8.2 MP, 3x Optical Zoom Well, I don't really plan to buy another camera. So do you have any tips I can use to make pictures look as professional as possible with a regular digital camera? Any tips about good lighting, angles? How do you take a picture like this? :: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3481/3200616022_bab5c17cfb.jpg?v=0 like focused on a person, with the background blurred out Any good articles or something? Professional-Looking Photos With Ordinary Digital Camera? Is it possible? Or do the more expensive DSLR cameras get the job done? I have a 4GB memory card and a Kodak EasyShare camera. I'm only doing photography as a hobby - I want to take some photos of my 2-year-old
I need a printer for digital photos, professional quality, up to 9X12, moderately priced. Any suggestions? I will be printing from the hard drive, so the printer or the memory card don't need to dock on the printer. I want professional-looking photographs. This printer will only be used for photos.
What digital cam under $400 will allow me to take macro shots as well as general professional looking photos? I want the camera to be small and sleek so that it could fit into my pocket. Currently I have Olympus Stylus Verve with 4.0 megapixels and although it takes decent shots overall, it has many drawbacks. First, it doesn't take macro shots and when I try they become blurry. It doesn't zoom in very far and I would like it to zoom in at least 20 feet or so and capture the object in good focus. Whenever there's not enough light, meaning anything other than bright sun, it turns on the flash automatically and takes super bright washed out pics. When I set it on the non-flash feature, the picture comes out blurry. Also, any slight hand movement will cause the picture to come out blurry as well. Right now it has 4 megapixels and I would like a cam with more megapixels - enough to capture objects crisply from dozens of feet away. This camera is pretty basic so I'm not familiar with the more complicated ones and don't know the terminology (f-stop, etc) so I'd like a cam that isn't too complicated I don't want to have to fiddle with a bunch of buttons to take a shot - I want to be able to point, zoom, and shoot. Unless some minor fiddling will drastically improve the look of the shot... Also I'd like the battery life of the cam to be decent - last time I took my cam on vacation, the battery died in 2 days after being fully charged and I couldn't charge it since the outlets were different. So I want this cam to have a long battery life. I'd really appreciate some advice as to which cam would work well for me given my preferences. Please include links with pictures of it if you can. Thank you.
Does anyone know where I can get a professional digital photo printer? I am looking to get a professional photo pritner that the photography shops have, Please let me know.
Can pictures of scans you 'save as' from the web be printed on the special printing paper for digital photos? If digital photos can be printed onto special printing paper intended for photos, can pictures you 'save as' off the web of scans from websites like DeviantArt also be printed using that same special printing paper, so they can come out looking professional enough to frame? Thanks.
What is a good professional quality brand of photo printer for digital photos? I'm switching over from a traditional dark room to a fully digital setup. I have been looking around, but all I can find are the "consumer" quality printers for point and shoot cameras. I have recently ugraded to a Nikon D200, and I would like a professional quality printer to add. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
What are some freeware photo software programs that can make your pictures look professional like musicians? When I say like musicians, if you look at band photographs they have this distinct look to them as if the picture was dulled down. I can't really explain it but if you take a picture with your digital camera you can tell by the quality of your picture that it is a photograph that you took with your own camera. I would like some kind of software that would edit the photo to make it look professional rather than homemade. I hope someone understands what I mean.
What digital camera to buy for taking professional photos of small close up pictures? I have a Kodak 7.7mega c70 camera which isn't to good for this type of photography. Can I take professional looking photos with a Canon SD750? I'm trying to learn everything about this camera. I would prefer to get a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi, but it seems as though that is in the very distant future. So for the time being, I'd like to make do with the SD750. Does anyone have any tips to help me get the best shots?
i have a digital rebel xti and i want more professional photos? what lense would you suggest? the lense that it came with is fine, but i want my pictures to look more professional than that. i'm 15 years old, so obviously i'm not rich so don't suggest 1000 dollar lenses haha. thank you! :) i'm not trying to buy my way into being a good photographer i just want better equipment! lulz
What is a very good camera that takes very good professional-looking photos? (Not over $1,500)? I know that most very very good cameras are over $1,500. But, is there any camera that works just as well with that budget, (or under) Btw, Digital that works with the comp! :) TYSM (2nd time I post this question, but in a different catagory!)
Where can I send my digital photos to get them to look really professionally printed? Have some great photos of my girls and want to get them instead of school pics this year (mine were much better). I want that 'professional' type paper and processing. Where online can I just upload them and not spend a fortune??
How to take professionally looking photos with Pentax Optio digital? Or at least close to professional looking. What I take now is bad, and editing does not help: out of focus, grainy and so on.
What are the best tips for making pics look professional? Other than the lighting, of course... what are some tips to make photos look really professional? I think my pics look good subject-wise, but then I look at photographers websites and theirs look different. It is almost like mine are "glossy" and theirs are "matte," even though it's digital of course.
What is the best/most economical digital camera to take professional looking children's photos? Hi. I've spent my life around children and I have a passion for photographing children and pets (would also consider weddings). My main focus now is children. I don't have a lot of money for the camera, but can go up to $1000 if I have to, but really prefer not to. I don't know if that is realistic or not. I want to do this as a part time career. I don't possess any training in photography, but people have always commented on what a gift I have taking these candid shots. Right now I have a Canon 3.2 pix (that is old!). And even with that camera, I have made some incredible shots. I know there is something about getting the right type of digital camera specifically if you work with children because they move so fast and you want that instant shot. I I need the best digital camera for my money and make the best shots possible. Thank you and if you know of the best way to find my way into this new profession.....all advise is greatly appreciated!! Cheers!
What is a good professional digital camera to buy for taking photos for big posters? I was looking at an ad and a guy was selling a Canon 20D pro Digital SLR w/Lens but he said that the flash shoe was bent. I only have a bottom of the range range digital camera and I need to collate a portfolio. What can I do to make the photos look more professional? Here is my latest try at taking a photo: http://www.grimmemennesker.dk/data/media/2/armpit-woman.jpg I think I may have got the lighting wrong though.
What's a good camera for professional-looking family photos? If at all possible, I'd like to avoid going to a professional to get good family pictures taken. I want to be able to take professional-quality pictures of my children for Christmas cards, to frame and give to family, and just for the sake of capturing high quality memories. I know very little about cameras though. What should I be looking for in a camera? Any recommendations are welcome as well. Also, I have a Mac computer, so if it's a digital camera it needs to be compatible.
What makes the "professional" look in a photo? When you see a picture taken by an SLR or SLR-like digital camera compared to a regular compact point-and-shoot digital camera, there are obvious differences in quality. What technology is responsible for the "professional" look in a photo taken by one of the SLR cameras? Is this why they cost so much more than regular cameras? What's in a lens that make it so expensive?
Where is the best online place to order larger sized professional photos? I am interested in starting my own photography business, and I am looking for a place to send my digital photos to over the internet and get them enlarged (and framed if possible). I'm just looking for the best place to get those in good enough quality that I can sell them. Oh and for a reasonable price.

I want to take professional quality pictures and want some advice.? I have a decent consumer grade digital camera. I want to take professional quality pictures and I wanted to know is it more important to have a higher end camera or photo editing software? The photos I will be taking will mostly be of people in different settings and lighting. I want to achieve that professional look with my photos. I am aware that part of quality photos is lighting and with that being considered could I make very nice professional looking photos with a decent consumer grade digital camera and quality editing software? Or should I spend the money on a high end camera and/or decent photo editing software? I am not a professional photographer but I find myself more and more having show higher quality pictures for work and pleasure. Mainly I would be taking pictures of rooms and stills of people and some stationary objects. Can anyone give me some advice and some options I may want to take? Thanks
How can I get my photos to have the finished look of a professional picture without having to photoshop it? I have a Canon Digital S3 IS camera. If I'm looking for a very professional Nikon digital camera, what would be a recommendation? If I'm looking for a very professional digital camera, probably not SLR, what would be a recommendation? I need something with a very GOOD macro setting. I'm pretty sure I'll be buying a Nikon, and I'm also curious about CoolPix. This camera I plan on using for artistic photos, so I'm searching for really nice quality - not a little rectangular box used to take pictures of the family BBQ, you know? hahaha. thanks for taking the time to read this.

I was wondering what is the best camera that includes both purposes in digital compact cameras and DSLRs. Also I need to know what kind of background is necessary and other things such as lighting but if you know tricks to make cheaper versions of these then it would be great.

What is good software for editing photos from a digital camera? I want the ability to crop and resize photos as well as edit color, brightness, etc. We had professional pics done at Sears and they were able to change the angle of pictures and tilt them. I'm trying to find software that could do that too. I have Kodak EasyShare now that came with my camera. I'm looking for something that could do a little more than Kodak does.
What do the little stars on professional digital thumbnails mean? Not a photographer myself, so not sure how to describe this - but I'm looking at a page of thumbnail photos (taken on a digital SLR) and they have various little signs in the corner of each photo. In the bottom right hand corner there is something that looks like a soda stream (!) and sometimes another little square with a line in it. In the bottom left hand corner there are stars - either one, two or three. Does anyone know what the stars could mean?!
I am looking for a company to develop my professional photos online. Please help me Photographers!? I need help finding a good professional photo developing company to develop my digital photographs when I take them professionally for people.

I saw the Sony - Alpha 10.2-Megapixel Digital SLR Camera today at Best Buy and thought it was nice. In your opinon, what is the best brand? And what camera would you think best? At the moment i have a rubbish one because i had to pay for it myself. basically i need a really good quality camera that will get me professional looking shots since i want to do something with photography in the future (possibly) but since it'll be a birthday or christmas present i don't want one that is too expensive. £150 i sabout the limit. thanks(: xo. i have actually managed to find cameras along the lines of one that i want for around £100 so i know it's possible(:

I would like to get started in doing professional photography, like weddings, parties, etc. I want to invest in a good digital SLR, but I don't want to buy a cheaper decent one now, get really good and have to buy a new one 6 months from now. But I also don't have thousands of dollars to spend. What is the BEST digital SLR for taking professional photos, and what lenses are best to go with it? I have heard Nikon is really good......
Why does this happen in my digital photos? (Photos)? I get these crazy streaking lines in certain shots and I don't really know why--they ruin shots all the time. I notice it mostly when taking shots outside however, not all shots have this issue. It was about 40*F out today. I mean if it is a temperature thing how can some have it and some do not? What can I do? Do I need a new camera? I am not a professional of course just looking for nice photos: http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m309/kelly007_01/100_1805.jpg http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m309/kelly007_01/100_1814.jpg

Im wating to take proffessional photos, im 14 years old, but even with a compact digital camera, i take great photos. Whats a decent digital camera to buy to take excellent photos at a concert? (NO Pro cams allowed)? I went to the Projekt Revolution concert last night and noticed that my cameras REALLY suck and I have to invest in something worthwhile. I want something that you can zoom in at least 30 ft and still be clear. My Kodak Easyshare just won't hitting it. I had some really good photos, but nothing professional looking. Some girls next to me had awesome cameras and could zoom in to see set lists 20-30 ft away and it was still clear (I believe Canon). I either want a Nikon or a Canon, something thats gonna work well, and I won't have to purchase anything else anytime soon. I had pit tix and my camera just didn't take the best pix - of course its a cheapo anyway, but the lighting (it being dark and all the lights on stage) just made everything so difficult. I can't stand the photos I've taken - it really makes me upset, because I thought the camera would be a little better, but obviously, I know nothing about cams. Here are some of the pix: http://community.webshots.com/album/564418967HRmhyU?vhost=community They were taken with a Kodak Easyshare DX7630 and a GE A735 - which both SUCK
How can I start a sports photography business? I want to take the children's team photos for baseball, football etc. around the community. How can I get started doing this? What are some good digital photo programs or websites that would allow me to turn out professional looking cards, gifts, and photos? I am looking for images, backgrounds, logos, things like that. I think my question was misunderstood. I take great photos, everyone thinks so and my work is frequently complimented. I am basically looking for a program that adds the details on the photos, like the team name, logos, and graphics, different designs of my choosing. I am also looking for a great place to get the supplies or ideas for gifts such as photo tote bags, bag tags, cards, etc. that I can add my images to and re-sale. I have the edge of this business in my community, due to my persistence and the quality of my work, but want to "keep them coming" with innovative ideas and creativity, and am looking for some terrific programs to work with, or places to get some inspiration and supplies. Thanks!
Anyone else noticed the recent rise in the number of "professional" photographers? Ever since the invention of the digital camera I have noticed that many people are opening their own photography businesses. They get a high end camera, take a few nice shots and determine that they should go into business and make a few bucks off their hobby. Now I'm not saying that it is a bad thing to try and be successful at what you love, but shouldn't you have had some schooling or professional training to become a "professional" photographer? My mom is a third generation professional photographer and this trend makes her cringe not only because people are giving themselves the title she worked hard to earn, but because the quality of most of the pictures aren't "professional." They look like amatuer photos that most anyone could take. What is your take on this? Should all "professionals" have training or schooling to earn their title?
do professional photographers use photo editors for their stunning photos? I use my point-and-shoot digital camera to capture a scenery (I'm still saving up for an SLR). It usually turns out ordinary looking. But when I use a photo editor, it enhances the picture and it becomes stunning all of a sudden. Is it considered like cheating to manipulate a photo to make it beautiful? Or do professionals do it too?
Which digital SLR camera should i buy? I have a regular digital camera and am planning to upgrade to a digital SLR. I don't want a really expensive one because it's my first one. I've narrowed it down to two. Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT Silver - 8 MP - $500. or Nikon D40 Black - 6.1 MP - $500. The more megapixels you have, the better quality photos right? I want a camera that takes those "professional looking" photos. What would be the best choice of the two? *If anyone has any of these cameras and have took photos, it would be REALLY helpful if you posted the URL of them on your answers so I can look. Thanks! :D
How do I make photographs look more professional at home? Basically I want to know if it is the type of camera, the film, the lights, the model, or all of the above? I used a freind of mine to take pictures so I could practice different types of photos and play with lighting...I used lights (I used a standing lamp that had 3 sockets that I could adjust, and regular bulbs) and took pictures with my digital camera and also with a 35mm Nikon. How do I make them look like I was not just snapping shots of my friend and more like modeling photos?
Digital photo needs spot retouching? I have a "spot" on a digital photo that I need to remove to print it. The location is in a portion of the sky. I need a program that I can click a segment of the existing photo and frag it over to cover it, as a "blue" that is standard will never match. I need a professional look. Any suggestions? drag it over.
what kind of digital camera should a beginner get? i want to buy a digital camera that can take photos that look like the professional pics. the only problem is i dont know what is good and what isnt. im interested in an slr/dslr camera (dont really know the difference). can someone please give me some pointers on choosing a camera? what are some basic specs that i should look for?
