How do online digital photo companies store these huge number of photos? Online digital photo companies like shutterfly, snapfish, etc. allows users to upload as many photos as the users want and they store all these photos online for ever.. how do these companies store all these photos? What kind of hardware, software they use? What kind of investment is required for something like that?
How to sell my digital photos online? I take photos just as a hobby and recently my cousin suggested I should try selling them online? Is this possible? Or is it just a ripoff. Do you know any honest websites that I could look into? Thanks a ton guys. :)

How to go about selling digital photos online? Ive heard of the websites that you upload photos to and people buy them, but I saw that they want you to give them your credit card number or passport photocopy. I know it probably wouldn't hurt, but I just dont feel comfortable giving out that information. I was thinking about making my own website. Any tips on how to do it? Like using paypal and how to deliver the image? Thanks:)
When I order digital photos online (through Yahoo) the pictures come back cropped? The "help" section in Yahoo photos says the reason the pictures are cropped is that the digital camera ratio is 4:3 and the printer ratio is 3:2. Is there a place or website I can get my digital photos developed without having them cropped? I would really like to find a place that won't crop the photos because I have about 300 pictures from my twin babies' birth and first few months that are very special, and they are coming back from Yahoo with heads cropped off. I've tried getting them developed through the mail and picking up at the Target one hour photo and I get the same problem. Thanks for whatever tips you can provide.
Managing digital photos online? I've just returned from a trip to Greece and I am looking for a good way to organize and manage my photos from there. I don't have/can't afford to buy any fancy software- I just want to rotate, crop, resize, etc. and possibly order a few large framed prints or a photo book. Where can I do this easily online, or is there any free software I can download?
Is it a good idea to store my digital photos online? O.K. so i have a photobucket [who doesn't?] , but my question is: Is it better to store your pictures online or on your computer? I thought in case of a disaster, fire or something, that idea might come in handy, but what about privacy, efficiency, quality, and space? If you think it's a good idea let me know. If you do it, let me know. Suggestions for places to store my photos will also be nice! Thanks!
Do the online photo websites serve as a backup for your digital photos? Just curious that if you uploaded all your pictures to an online website (like photobucket) and then you had a fire in your home and lost the backups to your photos that you uploaded. Could you retrieve copies from your uploaded files? (like download all 3000 pictures on the website back down to my computer). Do photo websites allow that?
Online printing of Digital photos!? Are there any companies in UAE who prints your digital photo online and deliver it to you? If not, do you think one should have such a facility in this fast developing country? Let me know your views!
Free digital online photos for website? I'm trying to build a website and I need free business photos. For instance, I'd like free business women and business team photos. something like this http://www.dreamstime.com/businessman-closeup-with-a-smile-image4088751 http://www.dreamstime.com/leader-and-her-team-image4539772 Again, I like these photos but they are not free. I did a google image for free photos but they're small. Any help.
How to protect my digital photos when I sell them online? I took some photos myself and I want to sell them online. What kind of watermark should I put on it? What text would I put on it to protect my photos from stealing? Should I put my email watermark on them when I sell? Should I put my customer's name on them so other people cannot copy and use them? What about putting my photos on a PDF file so it will be difficult to copy? Thanks.
what is a good online company for printing/enlarging digital photos? I have a lot of beautiful scenic and architecture photos i have taken at 6 megapixels while traveling. I'd like to get them enlarged to around 12" x 15" and get them framed so i can adorn my house walls with them. I think it would make a neat personal gallery. Can someone recommend a good online company that does this?
Best pricing for custom online digital photo books? I see a lot of offers to make custom online digital photo books--for example on Snapfish, MyPublisher, Shutterfly, Kodak Gallery, etc. All the products seem similar so I'm wondering if there's a company doing this for them on the back end. I would like to order 100-200 of these books (that many copies of the same book) and am looking for the best possible price. Does anybody know?
Is there any better free online digital photo editor better than FlauntR? So far I have been using FlauntR, which is soooooooooo user friendly, everything is just one click. There may be better ones that are not free, but does anyone know of another free online one that may be better than FlauntR which is free? By "better" I mean faster, more effects or better at fixing blurred or dark photos? This will be much appreciated!
Can anyone find any good/bad digital images and/or photos online? I need 5.. I think they're supposed to be images we DON'T like but I also want to get ones that are good just in case. I don't really know how to go about finding these as I am new to the whole graphic design thing so I don't know what makes an image good or bad. Especially if you are good at detecting flaws or very good quality images, please provide links! Thanks!
Where can I find backgrounds (online) to use w/my digital photos, so they look kinda "professional"? I was wanting to find some photo backgrounds, that I use behind photos I've taken w/my digital camera. I've been taking photos, trying to make them look kind of professional (just for family & friends). Some are like modeling type pictures & some are just cute photos of kids. I have Photoshop & Microsoft Publisher to work with. I'd just like to find out if there is a program that has different backgrounds that I could use (like nature backdrops, the beach, silk fabric backdrops, things like that).
best website to sell digital photos? Anybody who already sold at leat 10 digital photos online? Shutterpoint? Shutterfly? PhotostockPlus? Is it worth paying the annual fees on these site? Anybody who actually bought photos from this site (at least 2) Thanks a lot.
How do I transfer digital photos from online photo storage to CD? This may be a simple task, but since I'm not very "tech savvy", I have no idea how to do it: When I transfer my pictures from my digital camera to the Kodak EasyShare gallery, they are automatically deleted from my memory card (I also need to figure out how to change that). Kodak sent me an email telling me that ALL of my pictures would be deleted if I didn't make a purchase by July 25th. Their picture CD option is obviously quite pricey, but how do I take all of my photos from their site & make my own (less expensive) picture CD?
Digital photographer and posting photos online? I am an artistic photographer and post stuff of my own online on my blog and website, etc. What are the best guidelines to follow to curb people from stealing my images. Lo-res images? A watermark? The blog is hosted by a different company. They say in their terms of agreement that they do not own the images, but they do get a non-exclusive right to publish them royalty-free to promote their own company, or their related companies. That always makes me uneasy, but it is par for the course these days until I can host my own blog. What is your advice about it? thanks
