What is an easy to use, free/cheap tool for resizing digital photos? I post a lot of pics online, but don't need to send the full 3600x2700 pixel photos directly from my camera. I'd like to use a tool on my (Windows) laptop, point to a folder of pics and tell it to make them a good size for the web. Is there something in Window's Vista that does this already? Thanks!
Any program to auto-resize digital photos? This is the intention: I want to take a picture of a flat disc that is exactly 100mm in diameter. When importing into this program, the software must recognize the disc and zoom/adjust/pan the entire image to create a 1 scale photo. I guess its going to be combination of photoshop and AutoCAD. Any ideas? If this is not available off the shelf, I'm willing to pay anyone who can create a program/interface for me. Send me a mail if you're interested.
Do photo kiosks automatically resize digital photos? I just bought some photo software and am changing backgrounds and altering all my pictures. This does change the size of them though because i use backgrounds from image searches which are all different sizes. I am going to put all my newly editied pics on a thumb drive and take them to a photo kiosk in target or walmart or somewhere like that. My question is, if the photo, after being altered, is an odd size (somthing other than the original 4x6), will it automatically crop/make it bigger to be a 4x6??? I know it would be easier to print them at home, but I have TONS of pics that need to be printed, and would just take forever to do it on my printer (not to mention the amount of ink cartridges I would go through). I am going to try in the next few days, but if someone tried it previously and told me if it works or not, It would really save me some time! Thanks!

How do you resize and store digital photos for facebook ? I am new to managing digital photos. After you have taken tons of pictures from your digital camera. [e.g. 5 million pixels] you get an album of pictures that are worth about 1.5 mb per picture? How do you go about storing these pictures in your computer , cus bear in mind they are quite large in size for an entire memory stick of pictures (that would be hundreds of mb's each album )... And these pictures are quite large in display size in their actual pixels, how do you upload these pictures onto facebook, do you resize them before you do so ? Do you use adobe photoshop to do these functions? e.g. so lets say for family albums , everytime you take upto hundred pictures per occasion, if you save these digital photos in it's original pixels straight into your computer everytime, it'll take up hundred's of mb's each time. Do you usually "resave" it in jpeg in photoshop softwares before you save them in your computer? What do you usually do after you've taken an album of digital photos?

How do I resize photos to upload to a photodeveloping site? This question was posted three months ago: I would like to scrapbook photos, but I would like to do a layout with several smaller photos on one page. Resizing digital photos for web sharing? When I re-size my digital photos only for the purposes of sharing them with friends on the web (i.e. Kodak Gallery, Flickr), do they lose any quality? I assume that for printing purposes you would want to retain as much of the original photo size as possible, but if all I care about is saving time uploading them and reducing the amount of time it takes for the photos to load when friends are viewing the slideshow online, does it matter (from a quality perspective) if I reduce all of the image sizes to 640x480 or 1024x768? My friends won't be printing them, so basically I just want the highest quality but smallest file size just for slideshow viewing purposes. Thanks!
Where can I buy a photo album for digital photos? I use a digital camera to take photos. I like to print the best ones out and keep them in an album. But the size ratio of digital photos is different to the old film camera. I can find the standard (old) 6x4 inch and 7x5 inch format, but my prints are either 5x3.75 inch or 6x4.5 inch. I could resize them, but want to keep the photos asI have taken them. Where can I buy an album to fit them? Ok, some people are missing the point. 1. I want to PRINT my photos and put them in a physical album, not on the PC. 2. I do not want to resize the original photos. I know it can be done. Thanks for the other two suggestions.

Managing digital photos online? I've just returned from a trip to Greece and I am looking for a good way to organize and manage my photos from there. Where can I do this easily online, or is there any free software I can download?
How can I resize photos for scrapbooking? I'm a new mom and have taken tons of photos of my little boy (what new mom doesn't?) :) I would like to scrapbook them, but I would like to do a layout with several smaller photos on one page. The pictures I want to use are head shots, so they are too big to use as is from my 4x6 print. So my question is: How can I make my digital photo smaller, and could I still order them as 4x6 prints, but just with a smaller image on the photo paper? I had considered ordering wallet size prints, but most websites I've checked don't do wallet-size developing online, or else they require you to order multiple photos at a time in that size, and all of the same image. Thanks in advance for your help!
How do I resize a photo to 480 x 234 pixels? I recently bought a "digital photo frame" as a gift for my mother-in-law. When I tryed it out with some photo's, I found that the 7" screen was not being filled completely by the photo's. There's a lot of unused screen space on both sides of the photo in this 7" screen. I want to the 7" screen area to be filled completely with my photo's. I called the company to complain about it and was told to resize all of my photo's that I want to use in this photo frame and make them the "photo frames native resolution" 480x234. He said to use whatever photo enhancing software I use to resize the photo's. I use an older version of Adobe Photoshop Elements to lighten or darken my photo's but I don't know much at all about resizing....especially to a particular size like 480 x 234. Can someone tell me how to resize a photo to 480 x 234? I've resized to 480 x 234 but it gives me a distorted picture. What can I do to keep the picture distortion free while also resizing it to fit the digital frame size of 480 x 234.

How to change digital photos to get them printed 6x4? I've a lot of photos that I want to get printed out but the last time I did this online I ended up with a few hundred photos with white borders. I want to order more but the only options available are to get them 6x4.5 (which doesn't fit any standard photo frames), or get them with the white border, or crop the photos. I don't want the white border, and I can't crop them because a lot of them are tight to the edge as it is. Is there any way of resizing photos? I have hundreds of photos on my computer that I need to change to get them printed. I've tried googling this problem but the setting on most cameras seems to be 6x4.5 (which seems really strange seeing as you can only get 6x4 photo frames, even from the photo printing websites!)

Where is the best place to print out digital photos for entry in a photo contest? The museum at my University is running a Wildlife Nature Photo Contest. The rules are that the photo be printed 8x12 or 8/10 and mounted on a 11x14 foam core board. I have the boards and spray glue for mounting them but beyond that can anyone recommend where to take the photos to be printed, and should I resize them or leave them the highest resolution they are and just crop them? Do you think digital photo finish spray would be okay or would they frown on that? I'd spray this on top to seal it and protect the pics from smudges and the like. I am in Lincoln, Nebraska and if I don't get any other suggestions I'm going to Kinkos... thanks!

What is the best way to batch reduce digital photos to a size appropriate for 4x6 prints? I have thousands of digital photos on my hard drive. The vast majority of them are day-to-day snapshots of the kids that I know I'll never need to blow up to poster-size. My 9-megapixel camera is set to 2-megapixal for these routine shots, but still, the filesizes are each 500K or more. I want to reduce the file sizes on these "routine" shots to something that can be used for making nice 4x6 prints but nothing bigger. I also want to do it in large batches. The problem is, I cannot seem to find any sort of software that allows me to batch-reduce my jpg files with an option that says "reduce-the-file-to-4x6" or something similar. Mostly, they want to resize by pixels or by "quality" or something similar. So either I need to know the best settings for a batch resize utility to acheive what I want or I need a different program that has the aforementioned "resize-to-4x6" option that I need. Or am I asking something that is not really possible? Thanks for any help.

Can you recomend a digital photo frame? I want to get my dad a digital photo frame for xmas. It needs to be able to display pictures from a sd memory card; if it can resize them to fit and offer a way to rotate portrait/landscape that would be helpful. Finally I have about £60 to spend so try to stay around that price. Thanks. (No US website links please, I want to make very sure it arrives by xmas so surface shipping is to slow and air mail's too expensive) Okay, to clarify, it needs to be from somewhere in the UK.
How can I make scanned pictures big enough for my digital frame? I scanned some 4x6 pictures and I can't get them big enough for my digital photo frame. I have adobe photoshop 5 (so it seems like I could get it done) but I can't figure it out. I tried clicking on resize and I adjusted the width and height, but it didn't change it. When I put the pic on the frame, it is really small with white all around it. I hope someone can help me!

Best site for getting a LARGE number of digital photos printed? I just went through 300 digital photos of our recent vacation /honeymoon. – I reframed them and did some adjustments (I hope I didn’t screw up, I also resized all of them to email). I’m looking for the best site (easy download, quality and price) to get them printed Also… Is there anyway to download ALL 300 at once? A number of sites I’ve looked at only allow 6 or so downloads at a time (that will take me forever with 300 photos) Would it be better to put them on a disc and take them to a local service? Suggestions or advice is GREATLY appreciated.

Resize photos for new digital frame? I just bought a new digital photo frame for my daughter in law, and wanted to load their wedding pictures onto a usb memory key to play on it. Some of the pictures are perfect, but some only show the very middle of the photo. When I pull them up in Photoshop or Printshop or Paint, I can't tell the difference in them, as far as size/resolution, etc... Can anyone tell me in plain English the steps to take to make sure each individual photo will fit onto the screen of a photo frame that is 7", with a resolution of 480x234? Thanks.
Is there a way to set a default picture size on a digital camera? I've been using digital cameras for a few years now and have yet to figure this out. I'm currently using a Casio Exilim EX-Z70. Is there a way where I can set the image pixel dimensions on the actual camera? When I open the files into Photoshop they're huge, sometimes 2000+ pixels wide. I've messed with the settings on my camera thinking I was adjusting the right setting, but nothing changed. If this isn't possible, is there a way to select all my photos and resize them together? So I don't have to resize 200+ photographs indiviually?
Has anyone else bought the Omnitech digital photo frame from Staples, only to find no instructions in english? I've tried to play quicktime video and MP3 files but it doesn't recognize them.
