Do Japanese photo albums read from right to left?

I have an old Japanese photo album that has zero writing in it. I was wondering if the the pictures are ordered from the right to left. The back cover (what a westerner would consider the back cover) has embossing, but nothing on the front.

1. Japanese books have both "left to right" and "right to left" ones. If the writing is horizontal, it's left to right. If the writing is vertical, it's right to left. But photo album does not have writing. So there is no rule. If the album is a commercial one, it must have the title on its front cover. If it's personal one, the only way to know it is to ask the one who made it.
2. Looking at Japanese magazines they read right to left, or what westerners consider back to front.
