My Memory Lane

How should I develop digital photos at a photo store?

I wasn't sure how to word this question. Okay, my dad has a hgh quality digital camera and uploaded pics that I want developed on quality photo paper. I suppose I have to do this at CVS or Walgreen's. Do I have to first burn the photos onto a CD and take them to a photo developer?

  1. no, u can take them on the SD card from the camera, or a usb. it will take cds, but you dont have to take it in on a cd.
  2. no, most places you can take the camera in, pull out thememory card {usually cf or microdrive on the high end cams} and stik the card straight into the card reader... works out well, or you can upload them onto your personal computer, and send them to print via the web... walmart, walgreens, target all do this, and im sure many other places do also. @ walmart, you can order the prints to be ready in an hour, and pick them up at the store.. works out nice, and theyre prints in general arent to bad
  3. It's not called developing -- it's printing. Either of the places you mention can do it from a memory card, or from CD or DVD. HTH.
  4. Most of us use USB flash memory modules to do that. 2GB units are under $15 in most stores. And yes ... film is developed and prints are made from the film or image files ... thus we call it printing.
